[About]
I'm Going Away Now (I.G.A.N) is a visceral visual dance theatre spectacle directed and choreographed by Ken Nakajima. Performed by an international ensemble, the work investigates the psychological landscapes of dissociation and the fragile process of identity reconstruction. This project marked Mingxiang Wang’s professional debut in Slovenia, offering a profound engagement with Central European theatre contexts and diverse performance genres.

[Concept & Performance] Combining physical theatre, structured improvisation, and multimedia elements, the show examines how the sense of self fractures under internal and external pressures. As a core ensemble member, Mingxiang Wang’s performance navigates through surreal and evocative scenes, using the body as a vessel to convey the silent struggles of the "hidden self." The work challenges the audience to confront the parts of their identity that remain in darkness, obscured by societal imposition.

[International Critical Reception] "The performance, without using many words... left space for the viewer to be carried away into their inner world and their own experience of identity." — MLADI (Arts Organisation Slovenia).
